For companies
Customer feedback
A poll for guests, buyers or clients you don't see: a QR on the table, on the pack, or a link after the job.
Steps
Pick a ready question set for customers, like “Visit feedback”, and adjust the questions.
MoreLess: Start from a “For customers” question set
For a new poll pick “Visit feedback”, “Stay feedback” (hotel), “Product feedback”, “After the job”, “Practice visit”, “Talk feedback”, “New flavour” or “After a release” (an app). With your kind of business set in Settings, its sets come first. You can change every question.
Type a place in “Share” to tell apart answers from each place or batch in the results.
MoreLess: A separate QR for a place or product
In “Share” type a place in “A separate QR for a place” at the bottom of the window, e.g. terrace, batch 42 or a client's name. You get a link, QR and poster for that place, and a “Place” filter in the results. A place's results show only from the number of people you set. Places from the “Places” step are listed in “Share” right away: each has its link, “Download QR” and “A4 poster”, and “Print all” prints 4 codes per page or 1 A4 poster per place. A name not on the list gets a warning about separate results.
A separate QR for a place or product
Type a place in “Share” to tell apart answers from each place or batch in the results.
In the poll's Settings copy the code from “Embed on your site” and paste it into your page.
MoreLess: The poll on your site
Open the poll, click “Settings” and in the “Embed on your site” block click “Copy code”. Paste it into your page where the poll should go (in a site builder usually as an “HTML” or “Code” block). Guests answer in the frame without leaving your site; you see the results as always. It works for a poll anyone can answer; a team-only poll opens in a new tab, since it needs a sign-in.
The poll on your site
In the poll's Settings copy the code from “Embed on your site” and paste it into your page.
Add a webhook address in the poll's Settings, and every answer goes to your tool.
MoreLess: Answers in Zapier, Make or a sheet (webhook)
In Zapier or Make create a “Webhook” trigger and copy its address. In the poll click “Settings”, in the “Webhook (Zapier, Make)” block click “Add address”, paste it and “Save”, then “Send test”. Each saved answer arrives on its own: the question, the answer and a person number that groups one guest's answers, with no personal data. We send only once the poll has as many answers as results show from; earlier ones wait and then arrive in order. When a guest gets to the end, a “done” event brings all their answers at once, handy for one row per person. A contact a guest leaves comes separately, without their answers. The signing key lets you check the request came from us.
Answers in Zapier, Make or a sheet (webhook)
Add a webhook address in the poll's Settings, and every answer goes to your tool.
Add your own pairs to the poll link, e.g. ?plan=pro&user=123, and we save them with the answers.
MoreLess: Data from your app in the link (hidden fields)
A link from your app or email can carry up to 5 key=value pairs, e.g. https://tuned.party/s/code?plan=pro&country=pl. We save them once per person. When the poll promises no anonymity (results “From the first answer”), the pairs are columns in “Responses per person” and part of every webhook answer (the fields field). In an anonymous poll we never show them next to a person. Above the results, “From the link” shows one pair's results, e.g. plan = pro, once that group and the rest of the poll each have at least as many people as results show from. Add ?name=Ann and “{name}” in the welcome text becomes “Ann” (we don't save it). Don't put passwords, tokens, emails, phone numbers or names in the link: we skip such pairs, and a value can have at most 60 characters.
Data from your app in the link (hidden fields)
Add your own pairs to the poll link, e.g. ?plan=pro&user=123, and we save them with the answers.
Above the results pick an answer to see only those people's results and texts, e.g. NPS detractors.
MoreLess: Results of people who gave the same answer
Above the poll's results, in “Only people who picked”, pick a question and an answer, or for NPS a group: detractors, passives or promoters. The charts and text answers then show only those people, and “Export” saves their results and their responses. We show the group once it and everyone else each have at least as many answers as results show from. Otherwise single people's answers could be read. It works instead of the place filter: picking one turns the other off.
Results of people who gave the same answer
Above the results pick an answer to see only those people's results and texts, e.g. NPS detractors.
Create a link with the whole poll's results or one place's, and someone without an account sees only those results.
MoreLess: Results for the team or a client, no account
A poll with places has this card under the results, below the answer summary. Without places, click “Settings” above the results and find the “Results for the team or a client (link, no account)” card. Next to “Whole poll” or a place, click “Create link”. Copy it right away. We won't show it again. Whoever opens it, say a client or a mechanic without email, sees only the combined results of the poll or that place, and only from the number of people you set: no text answers, no times. “Turn off”, clicked a second time to be sure, closes the link at once, and “New link” replaces the old one.
Results for the team or a client, no account
Create a link with the whole poll's results or one place's, and someone without an account sees only those results.
Paste your Google review link and everyone sees “Leave a review”, whatever their score.
MoreLess: A review link for everyone
Paste your Google review link (the Place ID alone works too), or your Booking or Allegro one. After the last question everyone sees a “Leave a review” button, whatever they answered. We never show it only to happy guests: Google bans collecting reviews selectively, and the law (Omnibus) doesn't allow it either. You can change the link after publishing too. A link typed once in “About the company” (“Review link for new polls”) goes into every new poll; in a poll you can change or remove it.
A review link for everyone
Paste your Google review link and everyone sees “Leave a review”, whatever their score.
Add a closing line and a button to your page, e.g. “Back to the shop”.
MoreLess: Your own poll ending
In the “What guests see” step, under “At the end”, type a closing line, your page's address (https://) and the button text. Guests see them under “Answers sent”, and the button opens your page in a new tab; they can still change their answers as usual. Empty fields mean the usual end. Under “Picture beside the thank-you” you can pick one of our drawings or your own photo: on a computer it sits beside the results (“None” by default). You can change the ending after publishing too, in the poll's “Settings”.
Your own poll ending
Add a closing line and a button to your page, e.g. “Back to the shop”.
Turn on “Let people leave a contact”, and the answers still stay anonymous.
MoreLess: Contact, if someone wants it
Turn on “Let people leave a contact”. After the last question people can leave an email or phone with consent. It goes to “Contact requests”, apart from the answers.
Contact, if someone wants it
Turn on “Let people leave a contact”, and the answers still stay anonymous.
Turn on “One device, many people” and open “Link for the device” on a phone, tablet or laptop in your shop.
MoreLess: One device at the counter
In the “What guests see” step turn on “One device, many people”, then in “Share” copy “Link for the device” (with a place, if you type one) and open it on the device that stays in place. Every customer answers from scratch: they see neither the previous person's answers nor the results, and after the thank-you the screen goes back to the first question by itself. There are a few seconds between customers, and one device collects at most 60 people an hour, so nobody can stuff votes. Works in an “Anyone with the link” poll, with the anonymity threshold as usual.
One device at the counter
Turn on “One device, many people” and open “Link for the device” on a phone, tablet or laptop in your shop.
On the poll's page, under “Running it live?”, pick “You open each next question”.
MoreLess: Running it live: you open each next question
Guests then see and answer only the question you're on. The same choice is in the “Live” tab of the editor. Once on, the poll's page and results show a “Running the poll” card with “Start” and “Next question”. Until you click “Start”, guests wait and can't see the questions. “Start” is also on the polls list, on the desk under “Now for you”, on the pilot and, when you're signed in, on the guest screen. “Next” in presentation view and the remote does the same, so you don't need presentation view. When you move on or go back, phones show that question by themselves. Unsent text is lost, answers already sent stay. Other questions take no answers, even ones already opened. Someone who joins later starts at the question you're on. After the last question press “Finish the pass”: the lock is gone for good and new guests answer at their own pace, also at later events with this link. “Thank you, we're closing” closes the poll at once and shows guests the thank-you. Answers already sent stay, unsent ones are lost. With “Stays open” the button asks once if you're sure, with “Closes after the thank-you” it closes without asking. Not for recurring polls or venue polls.
Running it live: you open each next question
On the poll's page, under “Running it live?”, pick “You open each next question”.
For a poll about alcohol, turn on “Adults only (18+)” in the “What guests see” step.
MoreLess: Adults only (18+)
In the “What guests see” step turn on “Adults only (18+)”. Before the first question the guest sees one question, “Are you 18 or older?”, and two buttons. “Yes, I'm 18 or older” opens the poll, “I'm under 18” ends it with a thank-you. We don't ask for a date of birth or an ID: it's the guest's own statement, and the company decides whether the poll is for adults. When the company name, the title or the questions look like alcohol (a brewery, beer, wine), a hint shows under the switch, but it doesn't turn on by itself. In tablet mode every customer is asked. A team poll has no such switch.
Adults only (18+)
For a poll about alcohol, turn on “Adults only (18+)” in the “What guests see” step.
Under “Tell me about a low score” pick “Right away, each one”: an email about every 1 or 2, with the place and time.
MoreLess: An alert on a low score
A new restaurant poll for guests starts on “Right away, about each one”, in Test mode too: that email says TEST in its subject. The email waits until the guest finishes, at most 2 minutes, and carries their other answers. Its button opens that one answer without signing in. The poll's card says what sends the email, and “Try the bad rating email” shows you that email as a trial, with nothing saved in the results. In the “Privacy” step, the “Tell me about a low score” card has three options. “No”: no emails about scores. “Right away, each one”: on every 1 or 2 out of 5 you get an email (and a Slack message for a company) with the place and time; this choice sets results to “From the first answer” by itself. “After several scores”: one email once as many people as results show from give a low score within 24 hours. It gives the count and the places, no times, so no one is singled out; the next one 24 hours later at the earliest. If results showed from the first answer, this choice sets them to 3 people. With health data there are only “No” and “After several scores”.
Choose the “Would they recommend? 0 to 10” type to find out whether customers would recommend you.
MoreLess: NPS: would they recommend you?
The “Would they recommend? 0 to 10” answer type or the “Would you recommend us?” question set. The results show the NPS score (% promoters 9 to 10 minus % detractors 0 to 6) and how it changes over time, also in the email and on Slack.
NPS: would they recommend you?
Choose the “Would they recommend? 0 to 10” type to find out whether customers would recommend you.
